  報(bào)告摘要

  Bioinspired Infrastructure Materials and Composites:

The US spends billions of dollars annually for infrastructure rehabilitation and retrofit. There is a need for a new generation of materials to enhance urban infrastructure resiliency.Bioinspired materials are being developed to fulfill this need. A new generation of waste based geopolymers, cement based composites and polymeric asphalts are being researched and developed to generate sustainable and resilient infrastructure materials.  An overview of current materials-based research, applications for the solar decathlon project and fire resistance of related projects in the CEE Department at WPI will be presented.
